Issues: Elections

Superintendent of Public Instruction and U.S. House candidate Denise Juneau has posted a third-straight record-breaking fundraising quarter, outraising all previous Democratic candidates for Montana's lone U.S. House seat.

"The momentum and support for our campaign is remarkable," Juneau said. "It's proof that Montanans are ready for someone in the U.S. House who will fight for better-paying jobs, improve our schools, and protect public access to our land."

Juneau's cash reserves have tripled since the start of the year to $810,860. In fact, Juneau has netted more cash than Congressman Zinke in two out of the three quarters that she's been in the race.

Juneau has raised a total of $521,000 during the second-quarter fundraising period from April to June 30.

Meanwhile, Congressman Ryan Zinke is burning through cash faster than he can raise it, blowing a whopping 78 percent of what he raised during the second quarter. Plus, the vast majority of Congressman Zinke's donors don't live in Montana. Just 11 percent of his contributions come from Montana voters.
